Simply set the flared tubing into the proper gauge hole where there is a stop midway through for proper diameters. An undersized diameter will pass through, and an oversized flare will not fit at all.Front side of the gauge features a pipe sizing guide on the bottom for the correct flare tool settings. Works well but could use clearer markings
This flare sizing gauge by Yellow Jacket does the job. It's compact and easy to carry around, but I wish the size markings were a bit clearer. I sometimes have to squint to read them in low light. Still, it’s a good tool overall!
