Low oil switch 856156T02 is for use with select Mercury and Mariner 2-cycle outboards and the 200hp OptiMax Jet Drive. Oil switch is for installation in the 2-cycle oil reservoir tank. Sends signal to direct operator to add oil to the tank. Use only Mercury/Quicksilver 2-cycle oil in your Mercury and Mariner outboards. See your owners manual or service manual for more information. Decent product, but instructions could be better
The Quicksilver low oil switch does its job, but I struggled a bit with the installation because the instructions were unclear. Once I figured it out, it functions well, but I wish it had come with better guidance. 3 stars for that reason.

Stopped working after a few uses
I was really happy with the Quicksilver low oil switch at first, but it suddenly stopped working a few weeks in. I'm disappointed because it seemed like a good product initially. 2 stars for that.

Good switch, arrived late though
This low oil switch works just fine, but it took longer to arrive than I expected. Thankfully, it’s quite efficient once installed. Just wish shipping had been faster.
